This will always be my favorite photo of you.
Even though you were grey all over now.
And going bald on your back.
You have given the Nicknames of Shit Head. Bear Dog. and Old Man.
But now you're in heaven.
Chasing Boots about driving her nuts I am sure.
Or you're up there sleeping in Grandpa's lap.
Being his Bear Dog as he called you.
Either way...
You were my dog... My baby..
I will miss you very much.
My room won't be the same without you sleeping by my bed.
Waking me up randomly in the middle of the night with your annoying cleaning yourself.
You had the cutest smile.
The cutest bark.
The cutest face ever with that one ear of yours.
And honestly you were my best friend.
I thought I had lost you once when you stumbled onto a underground bees nest and was covered in bees..
Taking you to the vets that next day we were told we would have to put you down.
But you are a fighter.. You proved them you would live through it, And you did.
Despite the stank you brought on with your old age. I still love you.
Despite you pissing and shitting everywhere. I still love you.
Despite that one time you ran off for 5 nights... Never returning home until that late night.
I was scared I had lost you. That you ran off to pass. But you came home. Happy as ever.
Despite that scare. I still love you.
It sucks that the last thing I did was throw a flipflop at you for waking me up..
For yelling at you when you were humping my mom's dog..
But holding you in your final moments... I wasn't ready for that..
I poured all my love to you as you took that last breath.
As much as it hurts. In tears as I write this.
Just know I will always love you.
I miss you already.
But you are no longer in pain.
And that's what counts...
Rest in Peace Spunky.
You lived a good 15 years with us.
You died at the age of 19/20 and that is a long time living for a dog.

My condolences on your loss...but know that Spunky isn't really gone, you just won't be able to physically see him chasing Boots...but rest assured you'll see Boots dart off and look around as if to say 'i KNOW that little bugger's still here!' ;)
