It was an odd power that seemed to well up within him. Was this what it felt like to be magical? He'd been trying for a long time to find out, given his heritage. Part unicorn, part dragon… it seemed like something he should have been able to manifest sooner, as surely his ancestors were skilled at manipulating magic. He always imagined it would feel more like he had a source of something within him that he could simply let out in a physical form, but instead it was like an energy that overwhelmed him. It caused him to glow a bright yellow unlike anything he'd ever seen from a living creature. One thing was for sure. Perhaps it was just because he wasn't used to the feeling, but he had an undeniable urge to move. Staying still and examining the changes to himself simply was not going to happen, at least not this time. It was almost mentally taxing to think of anything besides moving, and so with a flap of his wings—one that surprised him in how strong it was, as if he had flapped wings ten times the size of the ones he had—he took off into the sky, hoping to discover what this feeling and this change meant while on the move.
