The weather was shitty today, so I felt in the mood for drawing something. I took this old sketch as a base http://dragunalb.deviantart.com/art.....rrow-214061648
My goal was to shape the two figures just by drawing the red and blue light shining on them and representing the duality and essence of the Covenant's two main species, ultimately leading to the Great Schism or Great Betrayal. I however didn't wanted to present one as the good guy and the other as the bad guy since both got noble intentions but are also flawed. Red and blue doesn't means bad and good here. The choice of the light's color was more so because I didn't wanted to use purple since it's a general color used by many Covenant species and thought red fits the prophets as good as blue fits the elites.

I did this in about three hours but some of my fellow students thankfully helped me out with the composition at the end. An afternoon well spent =)
