This is not a mock-up (nor is it a pipe).
Remember that sprite sample I posted recently? Well, since then, I did more tinkering on the spritesheet because I tend to get excited about stuff easily, and I found myself wishing that I could preview the sprites in-game, and this is the result. While I was at it, I made one minor text change just to tinker with that, too, and thus, we have this screenshot.
...Yeah, I may be going a bit overboard. Ryusuta has not announced any plans to create Bunny Link's Awakening and I do not know if she ever will, but at this rate, I may end up saving her the trouble. *chuckles*
Jokes aside, though, I actually cannot do it alone. For one thing, it would likely be slow, since I do have other projects and, well, school. More importantly, though, the intro and ending cutscene graphics are an issue. Redrawing those scenes with Bunny Link in them with even a fraction of the quality of the original art is quite simply beyond my artistic abilities. Yes, perhaps I could become that good with years of practice, but I would rather use that time to hone my skills in things that I already have a talonhold with, such as programming and LPs.
In any case, putting my sprites to the test has proven useful. For example, I've discovered that the sprites for walking left or right that I had made looked a bit stiff when put into action, so I needed to fix that.
