This was meant to be just a sketch but it kind of got out of hand, ahah. Whoops.
This is only half of her ref since I didn't add her human form. I'll have to do a separate sheet for that, cause it'd be way too big otherwise.
I based her main [battle] form off of multiple prehistoric whales (the evolution line): pakicetus through rodhocetus. Also added in the wolf and orca elements. I'm rather pleased with the result~

This is Mahk, the akhlut (which means she can go from an orca to a giant wolf to something in between + a human form [not shown]). She goes in my character Bansou's story (which is a book I'm currently working on).
I won't be revealing too much about any of the characters for now, since I don't want to spoil things.
Soo here's some basic info (on these forms; more info will be added to her human form's sheet):
The above forms include her orca form, which she uses for water travel (and which is her most natural form); her [giant] wolf form, which she uses for fast/long-distance travel and quick attacks (plus all the other perks, such as better hearing and sense of smell); and her "akhlut" form, which is good for strong attacks on land and crocodile-like sneak attacks from under water.
Her main weapons are her teeth and strong bite-force (rarely claws) in her wolf form, but if she can shift fast enough to her akhlut form, then she can use her teeth, claws (similarly to how a bear uses its forepaws to hit targets), and tail (similar to how crocodiles use theirs). In all forms, she is large enough to use her body as a battering ram--though the one most useful for this is her largest (orca), the akhlut form is just as good for it on land.
All of the forms have less intelligence than what she has in her human form, as with the shift, she loses some brain capacity and thus has a somewhat simpler way of thinking in these forms. The orca form is most intelligent out of the three, with the akhlut second and wolf form last. That's not to say she's just a "dumb" animal in them, but she does lose some self-awareness in them and must shift back to her human form for clearer thoughts and emotions (though she has used these forms to escape human-specific emotions, too).
She has a particular fondness for water--especially the sea--in all of her forms (human included), and prefers the cold, which she can withstand almost as well as Bansou.
In these forms, she's more protective than usual (though she's pretty protective as a human, too), and she has the great need to be with her group. She's also deathly loyal and is reluctant to leave anyone behind. She doesn't trust newcomers so much, either, especially in these "beast" forms.
She doesn't always understand human speech in these forms, and she has to focus hard in order to receive any commands, etc. However, this doesn't extend to Ixchel (her partner), whom she can understand quite well in any form--because she always pays close attention to her.
Because these are still animals, she cannot speak in these forms, either. She only makes the sounds that they would naturally make; in the case of the akhlut form, she makes guttural noises, similar to growls (kind of like bear noises). She can communicate between other orcas, wolves (though the small ones tend to run in fear), and akhluts, but she tends to avoid all of them because they aren't likely to accept her into their pods/packs.
Her main diet in all of these forms is meat; any kind of meat is game to her--except human, which is something that most akhluts eat (the reason she doesn't will be revealed in the second part to her ref sheet). She loves hunting and chasing things, and is very intelligent when it comes to the hunt (just like orcas and wolves). Because she has no pack or pod to hunt with now, she's learned to do it solo--which works out pretty well, considering her size in her wolf form (main hunting form).

I may add more information on her later, but as I said, I don't want to give too much away!
(now time for bed it's 3:30 am omg)
