The interior of the Old Louisiana State Capitol, which was used until the new state capitol building was completed in the early 1930's. This is the spiral staircase leading from the entrance and governor's offices to the former senate and house chambers on the second floor, looking up at an absolutely amazing stained glass domed roof. That era of Louisiana history is full of some dark and ugly situations, but man did it take place in a beautiful building. Unfortunately, I was a bit rushed taking photos inside it as the building, which is now a museum, was closing 30 minutes after I got inside.
Shot in Baton Rouge on a Canon AE-1 at 800 ISO with a 50mm lens.
