Artime looked into his locker, and his favorite photo. It was the very start of Junior year. Before things went bad. Charlie and Cathy had been dating for a few months. Little Gina was just born. Artime had given full leadership to the big lug.
<Cathy> Artime, hurry up. We have time in the desert gym for training.
<Artime> Aww but why worry. Our secret weapon can defeat us all, right?
<Gina> Ah-meh! Ah-meh! -reaches out for hugs-
<Cathy> Well we still have to support her, right?
<Artime> Good point. Gotta do what's right for the team. I just hate the desert. My heart scales dry out.
Charlie always had the outward emotions of a slab of wood, but Cathy loved him anyway. She always said he just wasn't public with his passion. Artime couldn't really understand it. He had to hold his girl and taste her lips at least once an hour or nothing felt right.
<Cathy> Geez, You still have that picture.
<Artime> Its a great photo. Lots of lovely ladies that day.
<Cathy> Artie.... You shouldn't-
<Artime> We need a sixth.
<Cathy> Huh?
<Artime> I know I've been the hold out, but we need a full roster. Wouldn't hurt to hold tryouts.
<Cathy> I guess I could speak to Charlie about it.
<Gina> Dada! -looks around for her daddy and points in every direction they should go.-
<Cathy> Easy in there, sweetie. Dada will be here soon.
Everyone had glanced at the bench where Cathy and Charlie had stopped to sit. They all cheered as Charlie leaned in to steal a small kiss. Cathy said it was all his idea to take a photo of the beautiful background, but he didn't expect the rest of his friends to crowd around and watch. Helen offered to watch Gina so they could have some alone time. Its what they did. They were really happy back then.
