Nebulous Glow
Mostly void, partially stars.
Any excuse to draw space themed stuff. Plus I wanted to play around with the silhouette thing again, and I wanted to paint stars and spacey things.
Sort of a companion piece to: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19326480

Mhmm! And one of many.. it just feels so lonely that they're all out there and we can't meet them. T_T
It is just humans everywhere here.. and only humans as the technologically advanced species on this planet. It would be so nice if we had another species or more on earth we can share our social, philosophical and technological advances with. Another that can counterbalance the 'single child', rather than our species going on tangents wrecking everything-
Bluh, now I'm ranting. Anyways.. xP

Oh for sure! With how enormous that space is, there's no way that we're the only lifeforms out there. But since we haven't heard anything back from anywhere... is it that they're too primitive that they don't have the tech to be able to hear us, or is it that we're so primitive that their tech is so far beyond ours, that they can't hear us. Ah well. Someday I'm sure we'll hear something from somewhere. There's actually a very interesting creepypasta about us sending out radio signals. It's pretty good. If I can find it, I'll have to link it.
And I agree. It would be awesome to see another species on Earth gain our level of technological, social, and philosophical advances. My vote is for dolphins. Because dude... Dolphins. I'd even just love to be able to understand them, because animals have language. We just have no idea what all of it means XD And maybe then, when we understand our planet mates, maybe we can stop wrecking everything. I got my fingers crossed.

Not to mention those lobes.. dolphin brains are larger than ours, and they can do many things we can't; we function in 2 dimensions, but dolphins can coordinate the thing in 3 dimensions. Makes sense since they live in the ocean. But so many animals communicate in languages we can't understand. And every creature (that has a brain at least) is intelligent.. it is just a different kind of intelligence.
Like humans are primarily based on sight when it comes to senses, dolphins/bats and so on are sound-based, canines/felines are scent based. And the information they get from just that sense tells them a lot about what is going on around them. Canines that can detect chemical and other such physical changes in humans so they know our mood, if we're about to have a stroke.. just so many things.
An interesting thing that happened, this chart and methodology that was made to determine intelligence on another world, since.. we wouldn't know if a creature charging at us on all fours is a technologically advanced creature, so we have to set aside human ego to try and find a more neutral framework to see how we can determine intelligence beyond our own. The interesting part is when that was turned on the other animals on this planet, kinda blew my mind. D:
I still don't quite understand all the intricacies of it, but I love this kind of stuff:

Three of my most favorite things regarding intelligence and alien stuffs. I've also created my own alien species, too! Wanna see? <3

Oh man... dolphins. What I wouldn't give to be able to speak to and understand dolphins! Though I'm not sure what you mean about dimensional existance. But for sure, animals can communicate in way more ways than we can even fathom, and I figure everything has some sort of intelligence, in one form or another. And being so sight based, it's very fascinating to see humans use their other senses to function if that is either never developed, or removed. And from what I've seen, there's also research being put into other sorts of senses that humans have, other than the usual touch, smell, sight, taste and whatnot.
And those bits are very interesting! I'll be bookmarking these for later, most definitely! I love reading more about what could potentially be out there! And of course I'd love to see! Show meh!

Well for dimensions, I'm not entirely sure I understand either. I would have to do some intense research on it.
For some of my aliens, they're still rather anthropomorphic but that is also slowly changing. I've quite literally designed their morphology, physiology, behaviorism.. social structures and so on. Soo much stuff about them. @.@
First off we have Gisi, the ageless mutomorph that has survived through a lot to finally find a place it can call home: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15571248/
Next we have Gisi's distant progeny that she took a personal hand (or claw) in, in their development, the K'shira: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14311371/ - Though I am wanting their bone structures to be something more like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17091196/ because they are what is called a facultative bipedal species. They run on all fours, but walk on two legs, also manipulate objects around them much the way a primitive tribe would, or chimps.. etc. But they're not apes or monkeys.. hence the desire to change their anatomy up. Problems are money, and artists capable of trucking with me through a lot of the trial and error process of helping me recreate them since I can't draw.

Oooh I love their designs! They're quite lovely! I especially like Gisi's design! , and Luna is gorgeous as well! Though I can definitely see how finding an artist would be tricky. The body type that you're looking for can be a bit difficult if the artist isn't familiar with how things work. And I feel ya on money... Cash is unfortunately a necessary evil, and artists don't work cheap.
Thank you. <3
The neat thing about Gisi is that beauty has been perpetually changing over the years, and not sure if I'll ever settle on a single design for her, which is awesome. I got to see my Gisi evolve from a small fuzzy wild looking alien thing, over many different forms to the taller critter in the ref sheet. Then when it came to the K'shira I kept altering their anatomy to have what I refer to as watered down traits of Gisi, and even changed Gisi with some inspiration from her fuzzy progeny. Ended up being pretty awesome.
Though aside from the changes to make the K'shira look more natural on all fours as they do on two legs, they're also getting a small set of extra arms and some other minor changes. It'll look so cool! Dx

That's been something I've been thinking of getting done, is an evolution sheet of her. It will look especially cute.. Gisi is blind, and when she first showed up around civilization of sorts, she was running into things and flopping over, falling out of air ducts, being all fussy and slobbery. Such a cute little fuzzmonster back in the day. xD;;
Awwwwwww little fuzz monsters are the best! And an evolution sheet would be fantastic!
Your description of Gisi sort of reminds me of the ferret my roommates have. She's about 3 months old, and she's just a little derp. She's having trouble controlling her back end, and so she'll be all delicate and whatnot with her front and then her hindquarters just sort of flop wherever she swings em XD It's too precious!
OH! And I think I mentioned above about a creepypasta that I found about space communications! I finally tracked it down, and though it's short, it's an excellent read.

Haha.. that ferret sounds like such a delight. I would love to stuff that cutie in my shirt and just snuggle. x3
Also if you can enjoy anime, there is this one that is about space pirates (two of my favorite things combined) that has realistic space combat (the moment they jump into a combat situation they immediately initiate electronic warfare), physics and a really, really good story (and some crazy stuff, too). Main character and captain is a young woman, and there is true love depicted in it (I don't wanna spoil! Dx), and so much bad ass mysteries. Took me a bit to get into it but once I did I was super excited for each following episode. @.@
S'called Mouretsu Pirates.. now I need to watch it again.

Oh she's a handful for sure! She's such a wonderful little addition to the house though. I couldn't be happier. I've tried to get her to snuggle in my shirt, but when she's being held, it's play time. I want so much to have her sleep on me though XD Maybe when she's calmed down a bit. After all, it's only her first week here.
And ooooh that sounds awesome! I'll definitely have to check that out! I do love me some good solid space physics and combat. Good stories get me hooked as well! I'll see what I can do about picking it up. At the very least, it'll be a nice thing to listen to while I work.

Fur babies! \o/ Hehehe. xD
I plan to get a flemish giant bunny, someday. Maybe two.. and I'll be all squee 'n stuff.~ I am so bunny obsessed.. I even have something like 14 bunny plushies decorating my room/dresser and some non-plush bunny statues. I must bunny everything. I try to get at least one bunny plush a year, from easter of course. @__@
As for space pirates, here is the link I go to: https://kissanime.to/Anime/Mouretsu-Pirates - Mind you I haven't found a dub of it, only sub.

Ooooh bunneh!!!! And oh my lord Flemish's are freaking adorable!!!!!! And it's so easy right now to get bunny stuff this year. It's fantastic!
And awwww yiss! Thank you so much. If I start the sub I'll actually sit and pay attention to it, rather than have it on for noise. I used to be a huge sub purist.... But I can't do that anymore. I gotta work, and I can't work if I'm having to pay attention to subtitles.

Oh man! I'm looking into doing these as a commission option. Though with the different background pricing, it's hard finding out a nice solid flat price for these. I might use the simple background pricing as a base for this. I haven't figured it out quite yet. But it sounds like I'll go with that, mainly because both pieces have been done in a simple bg style.
