A fun dog portrait for

dukeskunk which I sketched on paper and then did the rest in Photoshop. My Cintiq and I have an uneasy truce for now, but at least it allowed me three layers this time.

I adore bulldogs, one of my absolute favorite dog breeds ever. This turned out absolutely delightful, it's so cute.

Yes! I see very few bulldogs drawn in furry stuff, and among those, some artists fail to capture that essential look on their face that makes them unique. This picture totally nails that.

He was my parent's Olde English Bulldog AKA Victorian Bulldog, passed away about a year ago.

He was 9, a good age for a bulldog; they are not a healthy breed. The OEB are a step in the right direction but it will take many generations before we can undo much of what we have done to them.
