Ahahaha I'm so funny
Wanted to see Duke in a hoodie for some reason, so I doodled that, and then a little more, and then more, and then thought about him not being able to afford an apartment, so he'd sleep wherever and use the hoodie as a pillow, and then I thought about how he would do normal things like showering, so I doodled that too, and then I fell asleep
Hmmmmm yeah that's pretty much what happened :3
Also Duke is Disney charactert

Cleaning up with a drainpipe... It seems depressingly true!
I did get the idea the small-timers live in crushing poverty. 200$ a day for Nick my ass... Maybe on his best day. Even in a huge city like that I don't think he'd living in a box under a bridge if he did make that much a day every day..
Finn probably lives in his van, and as for Duke... yeah... poor thing. If he did have a place it's probably an even shittier little box then Judy has.
Though I suppose he might have a place... Maybe some infested place in some sort of rundown projects where he scrounged together parts for a computer, given that scheme he was running with the 'officially licensed movies.'
Huh, maybe Judy shoulda gone into politics if she wanted to make the world a better place. Looks like Zootopia could use a better social safetynet!
Duke's adorable though. I like him a lot too, but I do like mustelids! Not to many people yet who seem to really like him though...

I think if Nick does do that scam every day, he might need to move around a looot, so he might just sleep wherever and not bother having a set place suckin up money that he wouldn't even use very often
And hah, in my head I figure Duke would know someone that had a computer, and they would let him use it for a large cut of what he made off the movies, keeping with his theme of not being able to get money from his thieving xD
He seems like he actually tries to make money a looot but still doesn't have any for some reason, so he probably gets screwed over by the better criminals
BUT HNNNG HE NEEDS MORE LOVE

I think it's unlikely Nick does that particular scam every day. (Though if he does it DOES actually make the crotchety elephant a little more justified in his dislike for foxes if Nick screws him over on a daily basis. (Still wouldn't justify a blanket hate of all foxes, but even so.)
Actually Nick even more or less alludes he's done other scams (And considerably more illegal ones.) when he talks about that one tunnel that conveniently is off the grid. (Not that he's ever done that... (Of course you haven't Nicky. Of course you haven't.)
Still even if Nick ran the same scam daily, he'd have good days and bad days. 200$ consistently seems unlikely so I think Nick was just bragging to try and make himself look better then the metermaid (Who then proceeded to UTTERLY grab him by the nads. XD)
As for Duke... I like that idea! Would make the poor guy even more miserable. I love him too though! Musties FTW!

Yeah that's what I thought too, especially since the hamsters (I think they were) seem surprised that he was selling 'em, and the builder was surprised about the color, BUT then again Duke knows him from the Pawpsicle thing, so that might just be his main moneymaker along with a bunch of smaller things xD
So I'm guessin he does it not everyday, but often, and in very different areas of Zootopia each time, and does other totally legal things inbetween

Nick also had that scheme with rugs. (I imagine the skunkbutt rug was probably a quick fix on Nick's part though. (Given it was clearly not a particularly clever con, that one.)
I imagine THAT one was a result of crossed wires where Nick to his horror realized he sold a black and white rug meant for Mr.Big to someone else. Unwilling to risk the mobster taking it as an insult, I think Nick quickly figured out a way to harvest some fur from a black and white creature. (Which turned out to be a skunk.... 's butt...) And he called in a favour he had with someone who could quickly make a rug out of a sack of musky skunkfur.
Not his finest moment! Buuuuut he got out of there in one piece!
I think Nick in general sort of would be kind of a guy who does spend some of that cash to hire a small depot full of various junk he acquires that might pay off eventually. And sometimes does. (And if it doesn't he eventually tries to think of something to get rid of it.) Probably something he co-manages with Finnick. (And I can see Nick and Finn in those days bouncing idea's off eachother. Though Nick I think is the primary schemer, Finn has valuable input sometimes. Finn DID pull off a few tricks when Nick was still in diapers after all.)
So the pawpsicles might be a regular/semi-regular thing, but it's far from his only thing I think. Duke clearly doesn't think much of the pawpsicle scheme. (And I love that bit. Shows Nick and Duke are probably really quite similar. (Not like NICK was nice and helpful before Judy bonded with him.)
As for legal things... I think Nick tends to sort of likes to skirt around legality mostly, yes. Legal but dodgy and 'it's not ILlegal' would be his general comfort zone. But it'd dip a little south of there sometimes. (Sometimes even unintentionally. Clever as Nick is, and he's clever indeed, he's still clearly not QUITE as clever as he likes to think himself. (Which is probably why Finn likes when he gets taken down a peg.)
