Just something I did for fun. Trying to practice different styles, subject matter and techniques used in tattooing. This didn't come out the way I'd hoped, though. I'm trying hard to simplify my artwork more, but for some reason I find it so difficult. I always over complicate everything and bog myself down on details, which is probably why it takes me forever to finish anything. 9_9 I'm working on it. But I still liked this idea and might try this kind of concept again in the future with a different subject. Maybe calf skulls since I have that doodle I did a while back of a calf skull already so I could just transfer it instead of drawing up something brand new. Aaaaaaanyway. Not sure if I'll keep this for my portfolio and sell prints or if I'll just sell the original and try again. We'll see. As always, critique is always welcomed and greatly appreciated! Thanks for taking a look at my dumb arts. :B

OMG! I think this ended up great! It is more simplified than some of your other work, but I see what you mean. I feel like this could be a middle stepping stone for you. Like, your usual art, then this, and then the next picture you do for a simplified concept can be even further simplified. This is like, the drawing that is bridging you down or something, does that make sense? Because you def did tone down the details for this.. I think you did a fab job on it, I remember seeing you work on it. I like that the kitties ended up as black kitties, I think it adds a lot to the piece. I love all of it ! I so sleepy now or I'd leave you a longer comment. Love yous! I gotta check your FA more so I don't miss you posting pictures!
Awww thank you so much my Jolyns!! ;3; I admit it is a little bit better as far as the simplification goes, but I still need a lot of work to tone it down. I'll get there eventually! XP Thank you for all of your encouraging words, my loves. It means so much to me. <3333
havs you seen this? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014.....02_634x528.jpg
I'm going to leave you a real comment, just found it odd that google pulled that up while looking for cat refs. I immediately thought of this.

This is a really lovely piece, I especially love how delicate the flowers are and the colors all look really nice together, my only crit. is that there are so many dots for the whiskers. they are all lined up which looks great but I think you could have done just as well using half (like remove one "row" in between another???) regardless, this is BEAUTIFUL okay!? the "frame" is so elegant and fitting, I like that cat's eyes and I love the textures you added to some of the leaves and petals. I would totally commission you for a tattoo design, I wish I would get a cover-up for my first tat, i was in such a hurry to get one that I never even looked at the guys portfolio, the result? ugh. need someone to fix it. I wish Fukari (from DA) lived in the US, she does AMAZING tattoo work. https://www.facebook.com/Fuki.ink/
keep up the great design work. I look forward to seeing more art from you <3

Omigosh! I had no idea Fuki did tattoos!! ;0; Auuuughhhh gahd she is so amazing I hate her so much right now omgggggg. ;~; I wish I could do stuff like that. She is definitely one of my favorite artists. I just adore her style.
And yes! That kitty was the inspiration for this piece! :3
And thank you so much, darlin. I really appreciate the crit very much. I always want to improve my artwork, but it can be extremely difficult to get an outside perspective on one's own work, especially when most people generally don't feel comfortable giving critique. So thank you again for your encouragement and suggestion, loves! <3
