Those old enough (or at least aware of the wider world at the time it happened) can probably work out exactly what it is I'm referring to with this page. At the time this page was originally produced, I had a bit of an existential crisis but with very many thanks to those supporting me on Patreon, I got my confidence back. The macro growth TF will be coming but the bottom half was a shout out to the doujin-ka (self-made manga) Iwano ( I Don't Need Half the World; Boss and the Mysterious Medicine 1, 2, and 3; Don't Feed Me! ). What a juxtaposition, eh?

Not gonna lie man. It's a royal treat to see you reboot this series. Also out of nostalgia I actually went and looked at the old Infurlation. Jesus h almighty has your style greatly improved! It';s not as sketchy anymore! Plus it's clearly evident you've improved your pacing on the story line. In the original the pages were incredibly fast paced and barely told the story.
Iwano is great, but most of the English translations tend to be terrible, except for please don't feed me.
There is a lot of his doujinshis that haven't been translated yet, like these two:

Iwano tends to do the translations by himself and English is his second language. Speaking from experience in Japan, English-as-a-foriegn-language lessons aren't great... hence the strange wording and grammatical errors. But that's only natural. I've been laughed at for the overly-formal wording I put on foriegn-language invoices for some people (I definitely can't write in German or Chinese), and from my old fansubbing days, translating Japanese poetry and dajare (puns) is a nightmare. A lot of subtlety is lost in English.
Anyway, there seems to be an unspoken rule these days not to go posting, fan-translating or re-editing doujin-ka (like that guy who did Love Maintenance Blues, I can't remember the name but the out-of-place Accel World lookalike put me off reading that further; and of course, there was that whole Gamma-G mess leading to the abrupt end of the Build Tiger line). Out of respect, I choose to observe that rule myself since it's very time-consuming to produce comics, and niche comics (which are actually drawn somewhat well) are hard enough to find already.
Perhaps that's just a sign of the times, where it's necessary to fund projects like it. This comic certainly would not have happened if I weren't being funded for it, that's for sure.
