Between working on Roan interior art. Waiting for email replies from clients and sitting with an ice pack on my shoulder I decided to do a bit of fan art.
One of the people I had the pleasure of meeting at Babscon 2015 was Jenn Blake of IDW comics. We were at the same party and at that party I did a very quick sketch of her OC pony. Unfortunately I was pretty pickled that evening so it was hardly some of my best artwork. Ever since then I have wanted to revisit the character and see if I could do it a bit more justice. Well this is my latest attempt at the character.

The Memory Palace podcast (I highly recommend it) had an episode on the near extinction of the North American beaver to satisfy the demand for shaved beaver skin hats for high society, said hats being water proof and sweat proof. They were saved by silk hats becoming the rage...
Important note about ear rings and swivel-y animal ears - don't put the ear rings close enough together to clink together. Unless you're deaf or a masochist...
