Backstory:
Ben grew up out of Zootopia (in a desertish region) and often considered the “runt” of his siblings (he doesn’t have as much fat and he is shorter than the rest). He’s coming to Zootopia because the Zotopia College has opened up for reptiles (he goes for Games and Interactive Media). When he gets to Zootopia he finds that mammals have a very big stigma towards reptiles. He does make one friend (in the beginning), an otter named Mark Seafoam who is in one of his classes.

Really loves to just lie out in the sun without anything but pants on warm days (he also has one of those tanning mirrors). Likes to sit on people’s shoulders so he is less likely to get crushed. Always scared of being crushed. Doesn’t like going into the rodent part of town because a lot of them are all so mean to him. Loves the desert part of town because it reminds him of home and he doesn’t have to wear his special jacket (it has a heater built into it).
