This deviation is another recipe I'm submitting to

Depending how many people are eating it, each bowl gets 1 cup of rice. Other wise, take 2 cups of white rice in a pot and rinse the rice. Rinse the rice at least 4 times or till the cloudy water from the rice is gone. to the 2 cups of rinsed rice, add 2 1/2 cups of water and let it sit for 30 minutes. Once those 30 minutes are up, put a lid on top and boil on high heat for a minute, reduce the heat on low and let the rice simmer for 12-20 minutes. Once those minutes are up, remove from the heat and set aside till you are done with the chicken.
Now for the chicken!
You will need 2 lbs of defrosted chicken breasts and slice into bite size pieces. Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and marinade with:
2 teaspoons of soy sauce
2 teaspoons of dry sherry
2 teaspoons of corn starch
1 teaspoon of baking soda
And just mix it with your hand. Just make sure your hands or washed before doing so, or use a kitchen glove and just set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together:
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of mirin
1 tablespoon of chili garlic sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Whisk it all together and just set aside
chop 3 gloves of garlic
chop 1 1/2 teaspoons of ginger
Set those aside.
Chop 4 Green onions and set aside.
Now for the vegetables. The best part about this recipe is that you can use any kinda green veggie you'd like. You can use peppers, cabbage, peas, broccoli, etc. You can use any kinda veggie you want, just as long as it's green. If you use multi-colored veggies, we'd be calling it Mujige chicken (rainbow chicken) XD For mine, I used green peppers and broccoli. Just make sure you rinse them before use.
trim off the end of the broccoli and in a medium sauce pan, add 1 cup of water and boil the broccoli for at least 1 minute so you still get that crunchy bite from the broccoli. strain the broccoli and set aside.
Wipe up the water from your pan and add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil on high heat, just make sure you don't burn yourself. Add the garlic and ginger and the chicken into the pan and fry till the chicken gets golden brown. After a couple minutes, flip the chicken over so the other side can be cooked.
Once your chicken is golden brown on both sides, add the vegetables and let them cook with the chicken for at least a minute. Once your chicken and veggies are cooked, reduce your heat to medium and add the sauce you made earlier and stir fry away. Once all your sauce is settled into your chicken and veggies, add the green onions you chopped earlier and stir together.
Turn off the heat and add a table spoon of sesame oil. And remember that rice we made earlier? Well, take a cup of that rice and put it in a bowl. Take generous amount of the chicken and veggies, sprinkle some sesame seeds on the chicken and it's ready to serve.
There is absolutely no reason to go to Chinese restaurants when it's this easy to make at home. Just try this recipe and I promise you, you will not regret it ^^ Thanks for reading and I hope you try my homemade cholog chicken.
