Latest color backer art for 
Sura-Resch and the Roan RPG. Mane Coon is a fun character who I've already sketch for Sura as his Patreon reward Mane Coon. Patreon reward Sept 2015, so I was already familiar with the character.
However for this piece the client wanted the mare dressed up like one of those 1920s news boys who stood on street corners and hawked the local news, but Mane Coon more than just a news pony she's a pony committed to learning about the Ratavarians and their nefarious plans!
By the way those steel front hoofs of her are effectively brass knuckles that can also catch and immobilize bladed weapons with the hook shaped appendages.
The piece is done in my usual colored pencil, marker pen, technical pen, and a bit of white gouache on vellum finish Bristol Board.

Niiiiice.
I especially like the unusual expression on her face, so delightfully different from the normal, fairly limited range of expressions I see in pony fan art. The other pony face I really like was Luna's in your Dreamscape when she's discouraging Applebloom from visiting Petina's dreams. "When you are older. (Much, much older.)"
Am I seeing the buttons right? Are they snap buttons and not the slot hole buttons we usually use on our shirts?
And why am I imagining her in a British school girl outfit?
