Most of the knives I have made have been "ready made" This one was done for a friend. It has a thin brass cap I hand polished nearly like a mirror. Scabbard/sheath is made out of oak tanned leather. Think gun holster leather and you would be close. It was fun stitching this as my hole punch BARELY made it through 2 layers of this leather. The edge has a spacer to protect the stitching form this razor sharp knife. Oi vey I used a stiffer section of the leather even on this. All free form without a pattern. Used the piece i had and made it work.
