Except it wasn't like that in the book. First off females weren't in the Mobile Infantry. And segregated living where females were serving was strictly enforced.

The movie was like the book only in the title.

I like the heavy Russian MGs! I'll sit though a long loop just to see the muzzle blasts! But I may still do a version with Judy in the snazzier pilot officer uniform (and just thought of Erma so fitted)

There's also the fact the Mobile Infantry in the film fight so incompetently that the Alien series' Colonial Marines could whup in their sleep.

I lost my cool model of the anime-version's powered armour back when i lost everything i owned. I have to try and replace it some day. Sadly, they're about $148 plus $40 postage! Yowch!

Oh yeah, can just "see" Judy in a powered armor suit coming out of the remains of her drop capsule heading for the "hot zone".

Such a "comfort" to her parents to envision.
