Two characters from yet another story, drawn for the practice. Inked with some new penbrushes I bought in San Francisco. then some watercolors and such. Not my worst piece!
I thought I'd try a less involved form of digitigrade leg, here.
That thing around the Capt's neck is a Gorget (gore-jay) and is a sign of her rank. Don't quite like how high it sits on her, but that is what practice is for.

The staight line across the base of her throat makes her head look detachable. Also, the white stripe going down her neck? It should twist round so the bottom of it meets the front of her torso. As is, it faces her shoulder. On the side like that, it makes the neck look like it swiveled in a socket.
