I remember a similar struggle with an expression that felt kind right at first, but as the pic went further and further along, I just kept thinking, "GOD that looks weird."
I ended up stopping and trying to go back a few times, and eventually just started putting on movies, and pausing moments where a character made that expression, and staring at it for a while...
...and realizing that I had it pretty well all along - we humans just look freaking weird when you pause us. Hahahaha
Guess it's a bit like saying a word so many times that it sorta loses it's meaning. Except it's seeing a face for so long that it becomes a WTF.
BUT YES from outside the creative perspective you had, you did really well! It's a good big smile!

So much truth in that! That humans just naturally look weird. Like many times. I envy the peeps who naturally have a photogenic face or can pull poses right before the cam all the time. If I know I'm being photographed I suddenly feel this overwhelming sensation as if my whole body would need minute coordination to the toe in order to look decent on the result and I tell ya that's when things get screwed on the takes xP But I just can't help it.

Definitely - and yeah, putting the pressure on someone to try and look okay for a picture like that = "What?! HOW! NOBODY EVER TAUGHT ME HOW!" Hahaha

THAT IS MY PURE BAD.
However, mind ya - when I was younger, I had this really odd shade of hair that looked chesnut in some lights and auburn in others. People weren't quite sure if I was a brunette or a redhead! I think that's why I reacted with "REDHEAD DUR HUR HUR DUR I DUMB". Then I shaved it all of and now one can tell their fortune if I shake my head enough.

Hahhah,no probs Six. And it was in fact elusive a tad bit I'll give you that -w- I dunno if you have the same dark colour as I do, but I think I can relate cuz in certain light I get a reddish hue, too. owO Yay for pearlescent hairs! We're a car. Their arguments are invalid.
