I was quite deep sunk in a working flow yesterday and started and finished this picture. It was exactly midnight when I painted the last highlights around it. What a coincidence. XD

This is a requested picture for BobTodd on DA because she is a lovely friend and does so much for us.
She actually requested an ACEO - so I call this one a size surprise. xD

Before I started working on this picture I had to research how fruitbats live, what they look like, what they eat and so much more. Therefore I must say that wrking on something new gives me an opportunity to learn more about a certain species. Also, I could never draw a decent picture just by looking at some photos. Because that's not how it works for me.
Good references don't only come with pictures. ;)

I had to decide whether to submit this picture upside down or like this. Either way, it looks different. xD

OM NOM NOM fruit bat because of da tasty figs, yaa! OMG I love figs and I wish I had some, really. *drools*
