Here is the third part of the thrilling, love story about our three favorite, little rodents.
It seems the additional of one very suave guinnea pig has brought quite a bit of sadness and grief upon Taavi and his dreams of romance with the beautiful hamster, Sai. Will he be able to rebound? Will Sai completely abandon Taavi for the attractive guinnea pig? Only more reading will reveal the truth.
Oh, and good news, NO COLOR ERRORS! The text should ENTIRELY be okay. Thanks to Tacki and Nishi for letting me know how my accessibility options failed to show me the "Gray Areas." :)
CREDIT NOTES:
So, to all those reading this, please note that it was Winged Ham-Ham's idea and talent that brought this amazing tale of love and friendship together.
On another note, if you don't mind me sharing, my oh-so lovable look was first conceived by Winged Ham-Ham. Before her, I had no idea how to properly depict my fursona. So, when you see my beak flutter out a "Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo!" know that it was Winged-Ham-Ham who was clever enough to make this Yoshi Ducky as quackers as he is.
Please enjoy and feel free to comment. Also, if you would like Ham-Ham, I encourage you to welcome comments from readers as to their thoughts on your concept. Like I said, it was too good to not finish. :)
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This portion of the story was written entirely without the use of vision using the delightful, screen-reading program, JAWS. Upon completion, I used my sight for a mere matter of moments to complete some edits which include tabs that, for some reason, JAWS seems inclined to screw up to no end while I'm writing. No matter though, I'm proud to say I only edited some errors with my vision. Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo!

A short little excerpt of our love-bound hams. :B And pigs!
It's really nice that Sai remembered to go out with Taavi as well as Devon. :3 I thought she was just gonna spend time with him and leave her old pal behind! But I'm glad she's not that bad. (: I think I would have felt too much like a third wheel in his case too... but luckily he's going out there and trying to keep things stable between the three of them! Someone's gotta make sure things don't get too carried away, and I'm glad Sai is making sure she isn't neglecting her friend. (:
...Devon's voice is still fun to read and imagine. He seems like such a player, even if there's only one girl in the story, it seems like he'd be doing that with any female ham around him. :B
good times! :D I can't wait to see what's up next. (:

Good times indeed. Actually, in the final part, you get to learn about what makes Devon such a "player." I think you'll be quite surprised.
In continuing the story, as this is where I'm taking over officially, I wanted to ensure Sai didn't sell herself short. The way WHH created her made me believe she wasn't your typical, easily swooned Ham-Ham. Perhaps she is best equated to Sandy or Pashmina. Both very independant and strong Hams, but still open to romance if it were to hit them.
Oh, by-the-way, part 4 is another "Mature" episode. Though, I think anyone who is fond of a solid, love and friendship story will appreciate how it plays out. I really let my mind go while tapping into the WHH spirit to make a moment to remember. :)

Hehe, reading this, I also started to wonder why Devon joined them in the first place! Is he there to stay? How come he joined only after their human left for a vacation? And is the mom checking up on them to make sure they aren't fighting liked pets do? ;P There's still more to learn! Even if we don't find out those things, at least we might find out more about why Devon is as he is. :B
I'm glad you gave her a strong personality! If she was a bit more typical and forgot about a friend as soon as romance came along, I don't think there'd be much more hope in a happy ending story for Taavi. :B But now I can wonder, since she surprised me!
I was also wondering, when you write this, do you image them as ham hams, like cartoons? Or more like real hamsters? Kind of like in those movies with real or 3D animals that are edited to make it look like they talk? :P
"Mature"? Well whatever happens, I'm sure we can all try to see the story for what it is, whether that part makes it more or less appealing. :B

Hmm. You know, that is an interesting point you raise, Oxnard. When I write it, you could say I see the characters ranging between toon and real. It just depends on the scene. Some parts are just more fun to write when you think of them in a "toon" manner and vice-versa. Though, more thought now, I get more real when I try to be more emotional. Emotions are hard for me to toon. Everything else, though, well, GABBY-GABBY-GABOO!
Oh, some clarity, Devon showed up in Part 2. Here, it is one day after Melany has left and her mom, as a surprise, purchased her a guinnea pig. The events of Part 3 and onward take place during the evening of the day Devon arrives in the cage for the first time.
Another good point you raise, too. In real life, it is HIGHLY likely they all would have a massive grudge match for territory in the cage. However, through the gloriious powers of fiction, we are able to create this wonderful "What if" story. It's kind of like a rodent "Land Before Time." Just without the songs, the scales, the single parents, etc. :)
Ah, no worries my good Ham. Just think of the scene that plays out as something that would happen in a PG-13 movie. Nothing descriptively gross, just quite dramatic to where some may feel it wouldn't deserve a "G" rating. Honestly, my talents as a writer don't do well in the "strong language" or "explicit content" zones. Every time I have tried to go that direction, my work has come off lousy and, because of that, I refuse to ever write material of that nature. Sure it pigeon-holes me, but I am naturally not really an "X" rated fellow. Cute and happy make me, well, happy. :)

Hehe, I see! Well it makes sense why you used real hamsters for the file image instead of cartoon images. (: I think I also focused more on them as real animals because of that image. :B It's definitely different! Like for example, when Devon was rubbing up against her, as normal hamsters that seems a bit more normal... but if Hamtaro were rubbing against Bijou or vice versa, I might think something's up. 8D
I see! :3 Thanks for clearing that up for sure.
Cute and happy are definitely our style! (: It's alright that things beyond that might not always be your strong point though. I'm sure it'll still be fitting for this cute little tale! Even if Devon and Taavi get in a sword fight and accidentally cut the wire of a ticking bomb while Sai's running around naked, shouting curse words, it's your writing, and I'm sure it'll all fall into place! :B

How true my good Ham.
Actually, a slight spoiler on my main project, is that the main villian from "Project Ezil" actually ends up being the core villian in one of the two follow-up stories to "City of Solitude."
Oh, how I love intertwining! So much endless depth! Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo!

Really? Hehe, it's neat that you could make a villian even more... villain-y? By giving him or her more evil stuff to do in a story! :3
I think I've seen that happen with another series some others on here have done with comics - where they pass along a villain to different stories. Or certain companies that make games and cartoons will give some characters similar "spirits", where the characters are definitely not the same person, but they have the same personality, voice, and role in the series. :B Just a little thing I noticed. Glad you're having fun with that concept too!
