The color scheme was actually supposed to represent R5-D4 in one of the old Star Wars comics from Marvel back in the 1970s' or 1980s'. What is even more messed up, is this "version" of R5-D4 had an R2 unit dome. It also appeared in the same issue that showed R2-D2 like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19440800/
