I really enjoyed Batman Beyond when it came out in ... I think it came out in middleschool for me? Anyway it certainly had an edge I rarely saw on a number of shows at the time. I have it all on DVD now and yeah as a series it definitely stands out. The kind of writing that went into it, Batman the animated series, Superman, and Justice league kinda spoiled me since the writing was so tight and kinda makes me hold DC to a high expectation.
