You got the expression down pat. There are some anatomical things but otherwise you did wonderfully! Pen is such a fun medium and your value is pretty spot on

Yeah, I couldn't get his nose just right, but all else I feel is stylized fairly well. I started using ink not too long ago and I love it! Maybe in a few months...or a year... I'll start doing commissions. :D and speaking of which I still havent forgotten I wanted a commish from you, and now that I'm moving into a new apt and have a decent job, that is starting to seem likely...but I digress. Back to pens and pencils, if a person is afraid to use heavy handed marks then they might not be cut out to be an artist, I think.

It's definitely scary pushing values, especially in a permanent medium like ink but when you DO push it you get such better results.

I find it's a lot easier going heavy with more permanent mediums that say graphite. I can almost ruin a picture because I erase so often when using pencil. And thanks. I expect my move to be in a couple weeks. :)
