Once, I had a weird idea for a musical story in the vein of the "Once More, With Feeling" episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the "Mayhem of the Music Meister!" episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Various Colmaton Unverse characters singing popular songs. The song I was gonna have Kayla sing was "Mad World" (the Gary Jules version, not the original Tears for Fears version). To me, it fit what she would have been going through. Hence, why she's in a padded cell. The story (at least when I first envisioned it) would have taken place when she was still in the Lakeshore Institute.

This past Sunday, I was reminded of it when I watched Tyler Perry's The Passion and heard Seal perform it. So, I just whipped this up.
