As a challenge to myself and at the prodding of a certain rodent who shall remain unnamed I decided to color an old Amarimasi sketch. This one of Pipkin from Watership Down (The cartoon series).
Entirely in MSPaint (With OptiPNG to compress filesize.) Not the new paint either, the Windows 95 one.
Those of you with developed digital skills will be able to easily see the shortcuts, patch jobs and assorted trickery used to get this picture colored. But to the untrained eye this is almost presentable. And that's ok with me.
Amarimasi seems to now use the name Mizzyam The original can be found here: https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.....50&page=41 (Warning, NSFW on page.)
So yeah, Easter is coming. MSPaint FTW!

You've done a terrific job with the coloring here.
Amarimasi goes by Mizzyam on Inkbunny now and the uncoloured version is found here. https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.....page=41#pictop

By far my favourite version of Pipkin. He was adorable and I really liked how he was friends with other animals. Plus the little bond he had with Woundwort. His voice was also very fitting.
The movie one was alright but mostly a background character and season 3 Pipkin had good development but nowhere near as memorable as this Pipkin.

This is true, there was a restrained adorableness about him, and he got a lot done. Season 3 grew up a great deal but at the same time became more of an 'average' rabbit. The first seasons focused a lot on the unique bunny and his friendships with darn near everyone. He was the best season 1 bun.
WHOA! You made Pipkin look so cute! Great Art. I’m one of the few Chinese to have seen watershipdown TV for three seasons, thanks to its poorly translated Chinese subtitle (but able to follow the plot) in China. While most of us may be fixated on the TV show’s bias against movies, I think there are many things even better than movies (but even so, movies are still great works of art) . The character, Bigwig, I love him in the movies, but he’s much better in the TV series (and because of the length of the show, he has a longer plot) , funny, brave, resourceful! Even more than Hazel. And Fiver. I love Fiver. The casting of the film is so good that it is difficult to say all the words. I’ll tell you another one, Hockbin. This guy is the kind of comic character you see all the time. But he’s not like other comedians. He’s mean, he’s sarcastic, gluttony (when they left the botanical garden, Hockbin bit a leaf. ..) But the difference is that he is by no means a coward But a brave man who stands up to the weasels in Episode II when Pipkin is in danger (though bigwig is the first to be hit, Hockbin is still brave.) He has his moments of fear (11 episodes they fall into the cave and discover the secret passage that is so important for second episodes that Hockbin is initially terrified, but is encouraged by Fiver to perk up and be the first to explore the exit to the secret passage and help bigwig hide) In a word, an excellent all-age cartoon TV series, the children will like it, the adults will not be bored ...
By the way! I put an ad for my comic, which is the story of how I put Mrs. Brisby on the Chinese wasteland behind the World War III (she’s a Chinese, and there’s a Chinese name for her) , i’m a little embarrassed about my self-promotion. But after all, there are so few people watching... I want more people to see this comic, and I want you to help promote it, if you think it’s worth it. I would also like you to comment on this comic and point out its shortcomings.
PS: Don’t worry if you can’t read Chinese, this is the English version.
