This is just a cute little story between
character Kindling and
character Efret. All the cute fluffiness. ALL OF IT
Kindling was strolling through the woods, a backpack slung over over his shoulders. It was a beautiful day outside and he had decided to go for a walk. The birds were chirping cheerfully and the sun was shining bright. The full trees hid the intense brightness, it made the woods look even more beautiful than usual. He stopped to pick some flowers when he heard a sound behind him. With wide eyes, he turned around and-Oh. He calmed down slightly. It was only Efret. "Hello Efret, what are you doing here?" He asked, holding some of the picked flowers in his hand.
The other male shrugged, moving forward. "I saw you leave your house and was curious as to where you were going. I didn't know you would be taking a trip through the woods. You shouldn't go alone. I'll go with you, okay?" He suggested, already moving forward to take the lead.
Kindling stood there for a moment with mouth open. "Uh, well I mean, okay. Yeah." His head fell forward. Ugh. He had really wanted to go on this walk alone. How could he possibly turn him down though? Especially when he suggested with such a caring manner. Erfret was just looking out for him, right? He followed behind the male, looking around with high interest. He really did love nature. It was so beautiful.
The candle fox boy was so intent on nature, he didn't even see the way Efret looked at him. Watching him with a happy, sweet smile. Anyone else would instantly see the affection that the male was showing. Of course, Kindling would never see that himself. Possibly for the better. How would he be able to handle that? Nonetheless, he had to admit, Efret wasn't to bad of a guy. He was nice, to say the least.
But he wasn't really thinking about that. His interest was more into that bird singing way up in the tree-oh! He fell face first after tripping on a high root. He made a small 'oof' sound, his face buried in forest grass and ferns. Efret turned and went to his side immediately. "Are you okay?" He asked, worry lacing his tone as he helped the male up. "Yeah, I'm okay. My ankle hurts a little though." Saying nothing more, he picked the male up and sat down with the male in his lap.
"We'll rest here then until your ankle feels better." Kindling wanted to say something against it but just sighed, nodding his head before leaning it against the males shoulder. "Okay...thank you Efret." He felt a shift from the male holding him. He didn't see the smile, but he didn't have to in order to know it was there. "No need for thanks. I'm just glad I came along so that your injury didn't put you in any danger." Kindling blushed a bit, a smile of his own graced his lips. Yeah, Efret was a pretty nice guy.
