At times, a knight will need to give off several impressions at once:
1. Give the impression that you mean no harm - do not frown
2. Give off a welcoming impression - strike a nice pose
3. Get someone's attention - strike an even sexier pose
4. Show that you are tough - have one of your swords drawn
This thought process may have been a bit much for a simple portrait, but Sir Gallade himself thinks this turned out pretty nice.
Of course, he has to thank the lovely artist who made this for him,
