It's never a good idea to go into the Dark Woods if you don't know what you're doing. Unfortunately for Sigmarr the Gryffon, he had no idea when he wandered into Shadow's domain.

Shadow is more than aware that Sigmarr isn't a resident of this world, but decided to have a little fun with the poor gryff anyway, turning him into a lumbering docile beast known as a Kompar. That'll teach him not to wander into dark ominous woods!
