Laura Growlsmith (WIP)
Lauara Growlsmith is the twin sister of Lisa Growlsmith, our Front Desk Attendant. Where Lisa is svelte and trim, bubbly, vivacious, and outgoing, loving aerobics and leaving a trail of "broken hearts" everywhere, Laura is quiet, shy and unassuming. She's also 300 pounds more of massed muscle and immensely strong, and a terrifying sight in the gym when working out. Most males leave the room, feeling totally inadequate and emasculated when she trains. And she wonders why no guy will give her a "second look." Poor thing...
Both sisters were hired by Judy Foxxe who told the "boys" that they needed more female help. So while Lisa is up front, Laura is the immensely efficient secretary for the owners outside their offices in th back. She does her job beyond well, and the "boys" are proud (and SCARED) of her! Oh, and one more thing: she has "secret crushes" on both of her bosses and wants to bed William Bisonario, who steers clear of her "feminine wiles." And she has it in for Weasel, who has stolen her coloured bras on more than one occasion while she's showering in the locker room.

Re: your journal question...
It's just that she looks. Erm. A bit manly in an awkward way. And i'm not talking about the muscles.
And as diarmaidhutchence noted, the boobs are a bit on the weird side.
But i like the idea of a buff panther femme, so please do some more! :)

Ok, here goes, the arms are too big. Femme bodybuilders tend to value the overall picture, nothing too big, nothing too small. The breasts look like silicon globes instead of pear shaped. The legs are like a trunk. What she looks like is a female o´d with steroids. And the head is too small compared to the body. Maybe some analysis on real life female bodybuilders or fitness nuts would do the trick. She looks like a german swimmer before the fall of the berlin wall.
I like females with muscles, both IRL and in art.
Suggestions for next time:
Larger head - big cats have big heads to take big bites of big prey.
Wider hips, bigger glutes/butt - females are built that way, and it looks good on them.
Small tits on big pecs - take a look at the photograph of BeastInShow that I sent you; like BIS, Laura is lean and has lots of definition - there won't be a lot of tit fat over her pecs.
Arms and shoulders a bit too big for a female with a torso of that size. Females, including body builders, carry more of their muscle mass lower (butt/glutes) than men.
Basically, you drew her like a guy with huge silicone implants. You can draw fine muscular females, like your drawing of BeastInShow: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1708813/
Use female bodybuilder reference photos. You have been drawing males so long that you don't need refs for them anymore, but you haven't drawn a lot of females yet, and they really are shaped differently, even those with admirable muscles. You had a ref photo for Beast, and your drawing came out great! You are just starting to draw female musclefurrys (hurrah!) and I suspect that using reference photos for a while will take care of everything.
(I've got it easy - my photomorphs have the reference photo built in.)

well since u posted a journal to ask the things that personally "bother" me are
the position u dont know if she is floating , lieing down on something or if a "puppet master" holds strings on top of her . with a background of something she was lieing onto it would have chocked less i think
then i think the head is a bit small but above all personally its the connection between the arms and the chest the lower muscles seems to come out of the chest like a pair of wings and not even from inside her clothes due to the lower muscle (sorry am not good in those in english) that should be right under the shoulder.
am sorry
i wouldnt have dared to say that if u wouldnt have asked in ure journal. hope u wont be mad

Well, it's not bad. The problem I'm seeing is that the physique is built more masculine. The chest is huge, the waist is small. Women (traditionally) have larger hips than chests. The way her arms are hanging looks less like someone showing off and more of a buff marionette.
Looking at it. I see a few problems (will have to make a list. I"m not gonna trash it even though it's gonna look like I am)
1. Pose - Looks awkward and uncomfortable. A few people have mentioned the stringed puppet look so I'll save repeating it.
2. Face/Head - The face just looks a little too masculine. I've heard of a few artists who can't do a bald female cahracter cause it's next to impossible to make them look feminine without the hair.
3. Build - I know a couple of people have commented on it but I am going into a diffrent route. It looks almost as if you are trying to shoehorn a female into your regular muscled male. A Set of Tits does not a woman make! I think you might have to create a totally new "build" for this character and be able to apply it. Perhaps going backwards from your standard and altering pieces to get to a female form. A woman's hips are different for instance, making the torso look different. and so forth.
4. Boobs - Alright as I said a set of tits doesn't make it a woman. But in this case you might have to. In female bodybuilding, the boobs nearly disappear due to the loss of body fat (as that's what boobs mostly are. fatty tissue). So more than likely for her to have any sort of "Rack" she'd have to have had a boob job at some time. Just a story element you might want to take into account
I HIGHLY recommend the work of someone named David C. Matthews over at DA (Links: http://dcmatthews.deviantart.com/ ) if you need reference on how to do a muscled female without it looking masculine.
I hope this is atleast somewhat helpful.
