So a month or so ago, I was tooling around FA looking at cool cat art and came across a white puma's page. He had a 6 month old post saying that he had a
firestormsix partial for sale. On a whim, I shot him a note asking if he still had it. 4 days later it was in my hands. It is 6 years old but his original owner barely wore him. It seemed to be brand new condition.
I asked for FS6' permission to alter his work and it was granted so within the same day, I pretty much cut the face off with the ears, attached it to one of my martial arts headgear bases then slapped a mane and neck on it. I didn't change or add one thing about the face, muzzle or eyes. I then finished the rest of the suit in my spare time.
in 2009, I absolutely loved how FS6 did their eyes. a bit of a sunken in, 3D look to them. I became obsessed with figuring out how they worked, what they were made from... how to make it happen. I was making suits part time then and there was a lot of trial and error happening... a lot of crap went in the trash. By about 2012, I finally figured out how not to make the eyes look hella crosseyed. He and I met at MFF one year and exchanged info on what materials we used to make the eyes. Its interesting how we don't use any similar materials or techniques for them... I got a bit of a chuckle out of it.
FS6 is one of my favorite fursuit makers and I am extremely happy to be able to have some of his art in my possession.

Back in the day those follow eyes where the singular thing driving me to make better quality and look costumes. He's probably one of my biggest reasons behind getting into making mascots in the first place alongside you and Latin vixen I can't believe how it feels like I was trying to figure out those eyes a few months ago and it was so long ago x. Seriously though I'm glad you guys made all the things. If you hadn't I probably wouldnt have wanted to try to do better and even though I'm probably not it was the seed that made the tree grow and grown it has.
