Raina Birelon was not a typical elf. With her avaricious nature, fiery passion, and bubbling with what her clan deemed to be an unseemly amount of curiosity about the world, she has set off on her travels to seek adventure, fame and fortune. And when rumours of a long-forgotten treasure lead Raina to one particular cave in a region abandoned by the Scarlet Empire, little does she know that what lies within will change her life forever...

Phew, they're hard work, especially being done around my regular commission work, but I'm totally enjoying doing these remasters and kicking these older stories into better and usually expanded shape. This is one project that I started in mid 2014 as a gift of appreciation for the now even longer supporter of my writing efforts, good friend, and loyal commissioner,  a-lycotonum. This was the first pure fantasy (albeit with a little TF twist) story I'd written for quite some time, drawing inspiration from classic sword & sorcery tales and tabletop rpgs, and continued on an on and off basis for a couple of more chapters, with another one on the way soon. But this is where 'Dragonsong' began and introduces one of Aco's rather awesome OCs, Raina, who you can see in art form here., and just how she came to be in her draconic hybrid form. I have a deep fondness for high fantasy, so to write something like this was a whole heap of fun. Even more so to go back nearly two years later and again see how much I had improved as a writer and bring that far more seasoned quality to something I'm very fond of. I'll be remastering the other two chapters, though thankfully they're not nearly as in rough a shape as this originally was, and then bringing you chapter four soon after that.

There is no adult content in this particular story, nor in any of the continuations, hence the General rating.
