Early dawn on a cold winter's morn. I really hate jetlag. :P
Saturday was probably the most eventful of the weekend, as the day when the majority of registered attendees came to the convention. Things gradually got more hectic throughout the morning, which I spent chatting with various people about various things - all very interesting! I skipped out on lunch, and decided to help out at the main stall in the Dealer's Den, helping to fold shirts that had been sent in a rather poor state. After I'd finished up there and run a couple of other errands, I found a spot to observe the fursuit parade, which started at around 1:30pm. I very much enjoyed this year's parade; for a whopping 20 minutes, suits of all shapes, size, and species skipped, scurried, danced, padded, and plodded past, with plenty of suits that I'd seen the previous year, along with many that were there for the first time, and every one as well-mannered and exuberant as the next! A real pleasure to watch.
Saturday was also the day that I got most of my commissions, and as with last year, I overspent by a considerable margin. That's completely fine, though - the examples of artwork that I've gotten back so far, tell me that every cent was worth it! ^__^ When the dealers' den and artists' alley had packed up for the night, I went along to play a game I'd never heard of until this weekend, called 'Werewolf'. I have no idea how long I was playing it for, but I had a thoroughly enjoyable time, as I was able to put the skills I'd picked up through Model United Nations to good use, with a genuine desire to stay alive in the game. Regardless of time played, I eventually headed off to bed at around 2am, accompanied by a friend who needed a place to sleep for the night. I tried to make the coach as comfortable as I could, but there's only so much one can do with what one has. ;-p
Hope you enjoy!
