Helium is under standard circumstances in it's atomic form because it's outer electron shell is already full. It has 8 valence electrons which means it's in its most stable form.
I assume you already know this but this is for the others that have not taken chemistry classes :B

This is where I'd say "Do you have enough for the whole class?" but I'd be asking the obvious.
I 'unno why I picture this being like... someone walk in and you freeze and eyes lock... but you start to slowly turn the valve anyways, like if you do it slow enough, they won't notice.... and then they just walk off saying "Well, put everything back when you done, I guess." I 'unno. :B
