And here it is. Finished in all its technical glory. Everything is there, every bolt, screw, gauge...
For me this was more than just a painting of two characters in a cockpit. This is my dreams, my aspirations, my very being poured into a single image. It's been ten years too long; ten years since I gave up on that dream; bullied out of me by my peers.
But now. I've once again taken a hold of that dream, now stronger, confident, and more determined than before. I want this more than ever, more than before. I /need/ this.
And lastly,

Ah very nice work, it sure took for a while to make. Many ref and well perfectly executed work, like that everything is in order. And that all parameters seem to show the right values and bend as they should. I wish I could express my self better, but alas my english don't goes so far that I could name the instruments.
Oh my...
My girl just showed me this. And I just freaked out!
This picture is so wonderful and technically so masterfully done. I love it. And besides....it shows one of the most wonderful moments life has to offer: Flying an IFR departure, reading checklists and doing your job on an cargoairliner as if it would be the most normal thing in the world. And all that during sunset...
Thank you for this...it really touches me and I will remember it forever!
I wish you all the best for your future and that all your dreams will come true!
Many happy landings,

There is always a certain amount of awe you get when ever you look into the cockpit of just about any aircraft. be it an F-117 or a 747. you have astoundingly captured every single detail i remember from when i was little, made it twice as good, and furry. you sir should be given a medal... or somethin like that. simply outstanding.
great work! I, too, am a pilot wannabe. Wanted to be a fighter pilot, but came out of the closet while in the military, so there goes that. Thought about going commercial pilot, but after reading stories of the rough way of life for a rookie pilot decided "fuck that!" :P Still want my private pilots license one of these days, though, and I'll live out my commercial fantasies in Microsoft Flight Simulator ^.^
One of the best out there, the DC10 is. Judging by the panel I'd guess mid to late 70s? Could be way off on that, I'm still back in 1969 with what I can afford to own and fly. Either way, I doubt I could find even the slightest thing wrong with this if I tried, but I won't - it's just plain too good to stop staring at long enough to think.
Shame it took me so long to find this. Excellent work!

Every aspect of this picture is absolutely perfect! You have not only created another piece of art but a real master piece!
As far as I can tell, -all- of the buttons, knobs and gauges are in the correct position! The colors and textures are perfect and draw the viewer in and the picture itself is setup just right so it keeps the viewers eyes moving around trying to take in all the details!
Bravo and keep up the excellent work!

well....this certainly has impressed me. and if i may say so, thats rather hard to do. but as a private pilot, i can say there truely is nothing more beautiful than a sunset in flight when ur about 6 miles above the cloud line. you have managed to somehow capture this, earn my fave, and earn the watch im about to send ya.
your quite an artist my friend.

ok, but earning money shouldnt be the point, but if you mean, that you need lots of money to become a pilot, then you're right...
But here in germany some companys pay you the training and you just have to pay some money back after you started working for them.
But even if you dont get a place in these companys, there are still flight-schools which have special credit-plans with banks aswell; but i am not sure how its in your country =)

I just know that it's very competitive in the US. Pretty much anyone can be a pilot, but flight school is expensive, and to get the training needed to fly commercially and for the big airlines, it's a lot more difficult if you don't go into the military, which I don't really want to do :P There are so many certifications and so much experience needed, and it's difficult to get them otherwise.
This is phenominal artwork and I sincerely hope that you can get hold of that dream you are chasing. I always.. ALWAYS wanted to be a pilot, since I was a young kid. But it was a career, and now even a hobby, that escapes me the older I get. I have always been personally drawn to the boeing 737 range.
Maybe if I ever one day win the lottery, I will consider investing into the training to get my CPL. Until then.. live the dream!
