Scorn is a demonic manifestation of The darkness in Rocky's heart. Thou Rocky may be a good soul, no one is completely pure. Scorn is divided up into two personalities. Each eye seems to represent them. When one personality takes control, the other eye closes. The left eye, (without scar) is Desire. The right eye, (with scar) is Rage. Both crave bloodshed and will kill innocents in cold blood.
This idea may never actually become something but I happen to like the idea of a deranged evil version of Rocky. It may make an interesting fight between them.
This is by far the most unusual costume concept I've come up with so far. By the way, the bladed weapon he's leaning on is a ringblade similar to what Tira uses in Soul Calibur 4. I've always thought the weapon idea was cool and the whole dual personalities concept so why not?

It's a great peice Rocket the pose and anatomy is right on, the hands seem just a touch small for the size of his forearms, but thats barely noticeable. The only thing I feel needs to be pointed out on this is the costume design is extremely confusing, I understand the dual personalities so you were going for a combination of 2 styles of clothing. The best way to pull off a dual personality costume is to think of Harvey Dent/Two face from the old batman animated series (the way old cartoon series from the early 90's). His design showed the confusion between the two personalities, but gave each personality it's own complete "thought". I think if you unjumbled his wardrobe the piece would be n-times better as far as a character sheet goes. AND FOR GODSAKE do not get rid of the bowser spiked collars, god i love those things!
The costume design will probably look less confusing after some color. I was actually thinking of putting some to the picture to help make it easier to read.
The main thing I had for the concept idea was buckles n' spikes. It might help if I integrated some of the features into other parts of the costume.
I'll color it and see if it works better afterwards.

Ahh so this is the new idea you were talking about earlier. ^^ Hehe I really like it and I have to say, Rocky's alter ego looks incredible! ;) I really do like the outfit! And Tira from Soul Calibur is such an awesome character no? Just gotta love the pychos. xD But yeah, nevertheless, he really looks awesome Rocky! ;)
It's not quite an alter ego. That would mean Rocky went psycho. XD
Anyway, I've been thinking on a way to work him into the story. I decided I liked the concept too much to let it go to waste. For some reason, I can't wait to draw him in action! Expect a lot of gore. I tend to like deranged, twisted antagonists. :devil:

I've reworked Rocky's entire history. He will have connections to Ratchet's story but I don't want to give away too much just yet. Even so, You probably won't have to worry about not being able to see it. Rocky and Ratchet couldn't ever get that close and for good reason.

Oh, and speaking of Scorn (from our chat in your journal), I thought you should know that Soul Caliber IV isn't the only game to employ a weapon like that; Nan from Tales of Vesperia uses a weapon very similar to that. The only major difference is it's a LOT thicker and isn't a complete circle. *nod* Just thought you may find that interesting. ^.-.^;

Sorry for all the links, but I wanted to give you good pics of the two initial revolvers as well as some ideas for making him even more underhanded than he already is (even if he did an honorable duel with the saber he could still shoot the one he's dueling if he feels he's losing). I mean, he's deranged, why not make him a sneaky/trickster one? ;3
