This will be in my gallery for a while. I will move it later, but for now it's going to be here.
This is Angel.
She was part of our family for many years. (14, I do believe.)
The other day she became very ill, and we had taken her to see the vet.
The vet had told us that her kidneys were shutting down, and that we had two options. One was to give her fluids and antibiotics to try to save her, the other was to have her put down. We chose the fluids, to give her every chance to pull through... This morning the vet called back to report the blood work findings. She had developed a quick, severe infection in her kidneys and bladder, and we were to continue with treatment.
Unfortunately her condition worsened quickly.
This evening at around 10 PM, she took her last breath at home, surrounded by the people that loved her.
It was not an easy passing... but she is no longer in pain.
She will be missed, and will always be in our hearts. We love you, Angel.

You did absolutely everything possible for her to give her a fighting chance, and that's sometimes all we can do..you were strong for her and she was as strong as she could be. Pets are more then that, they're family. Losing a family member is always rough, and I hope that you and yours will get through this rough time soon. She is no longer suffering and on another plain of existence and probably a new found kitten frolicking pain free.

I'm so sorry... R.I.P. Angel <3
Don't cry. She had a wonderful life, I'm sure. She had people who love her very much and love is a freeing and beautiful feeling. She knew it.
I really would hug you now but the distance makes it impossible. If you should need an ear, you can note me whenever you want to.

I'm so sorry. The pain from losing her will over time be replaced by all the fond memories she gifted to you in her lifetime, and you guys will have those to cherish and bring with you for the rest of your lives. <3 she was so gorgeous and I'm sure had an amazing life. She was one of the lucky cats who had a loving home. rest in peace <3
I know that exact same feeling, man, I really do. I lost my 10-year-old kitty Lilly to cancer back in the middle of November. My family and I did what we could, but by the time it was detected (the tumor didn't show up on the scan until the last one out of several), the damage had been done, and she passed away days after she came home after having it surgically removed. To say it was a difficult time is an understatement.
Despite all this pain, I believe both of them (Angel and Lilly) are in a better place now. My condolences, DIW. Be at peace, Angel.
