African Golden Wolf (jackal) Field Guide (by CadmiumTea)
This is a sketch page drawn by CadmiumTea that illustrates the typical characteristics of an African Jackal aka African Golden Wolf (canis anthus). It is part of a series of these Field Guides that I ordered to illustrate the various sorts of jackals to help show the differences in their head shapes and other characteristics. I also have Field Guides for realistic Black-Backed Jackals (canis mesomelas), realistic Side-Striped Jackals (canis adustus), realistic Asian Golden Jackals (canis aureus), and typical Anubian/Khemetic Jackals.
These Jackal Field Guides are intended to show the typical characteristics of the real animal species as applied to a specific anthro character. They are not intended to be complete reference for the real species nor are they intended to be a character refsheet.
