This is a sketch page drawn by CadmiumTea that illustrates the typical characteristics of an Eurasian golden jackal (canis aureus). It is part of a series of these Field Guides that I ordered to illustrate the various sorts of jackals to help show the differences in their head shapes and other characteristics. I also have Field Guides for realistic Black-Backed Jackals (canis mesomelas), realistic Side-Striped Jackals (canis adustus), realistic Asian Golden Jackals (canis aureus), and typical Anubian/Khemetic Jackals.

Lt. Alex Marks is the model for this Field Guide, because he was one of my watchers who has a purebreed Golden Jackal 'sona.

These Jackal Field Guides are intended to show the typical characteristics of the real animal species as applied to a specific anthro character. They are not intended to be complete reference for the real species (so this Field Guide shows a golden jackal with headfur/hair, because the character has it) nor are they intended to be a character refsheet.
