Incredibly. It's a great combination of your usual MMORPG game with MOBA gameplay, and for 30 bucks on Steam you get every single god(Ess) they've made and will make making it a massively better deal than other MOBAs like League. Only problem is that I'm so used to League that trying to play Smite is so confusing control wise plus I'm not even at max level for your account (level and rank being two totally different things) and only seem to play with a mixture of bots and people :/
Oof good question... I haven't played enough to know for certain but it's probably a tie between:
Khepri, the Dawn Bringer: https://www.smitegame.com/gods/khepri/
and
Ao Kuang, Dragon of the Eastern Seas: https://www.smitegame.com/gods/ao-kuang-2/
Though they did just release a bunch of Asian gods (I forget if it's Japanese or Chinese... Think Japanese because Ao Kuang is Chinese I believe...) so I could find a new favorite within those ranks

Oh hell no and Smite is actually one of the smaller MOBAs. In terms of both people playing and character count DOTA 2 and League blow them out of the water XD
I'd honestly recommend it because it's actually a pretty good way for people from more WoW style games to try out the MOBA experience and, again, 30 bucks on Steam pretty good deal and it will transfer between the Smite you can download from the actually site, Steam, and anywhere else it might be available since it's connected to your Smite account not your Steam account

Yeah it's not Free like Dota 2 is but Dota 2 also has a MASSIVE barrier of entry. It's not a good starting place. League is easier but it can take a LOT of money away. Smite being between the prices and having semi familiar controls means it's a pretty good recommendation for anyone looking to give it a go
Barrier of Entry basically means you have to do something to, well, enter. In DOTA, for example, it's one of the harder MOBAs out there so it requires a TON of knowledge and experience to play it even at the start. League has a lower barrier but you still have to play a MOBA, and Smite is a mixture meaning if you have experience in games like WoW it has an extremely low barrier, you just have to adjust to the different items and preset characters
Nah I'm a dumbass compared to some of the people out there, and I can't explain for shit lol

Lol yeah, you do seem to know more of what's going on. Cyber put up her team recently and my inner team builder was screaming "NO NO NO YOU HAVE TO USE X POKEMON TO CREATE A MORE BALANCED TEAM AND LOOK AT YOUR DAMAGE IT'S SPREAD OUT WHERE'S YOUR CARRY WHO'S YOUR TANK WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!" while the outside was just "That's a really wonderful team great job! It's just important that you like it ^^" Ahhhhhhhhhh the joys of being both a competitive gamer and a casual gamer
