Basically my friend came to me today and said he was in a very powerful 'Violet mood' so we just, on the spot, thought up a totally new version of Violet together. This Violet is a far more modern Japanese girl influenced by her more Americanized name, belonging to a very powerful if highly conservative noble house. The reason why they are so conservative is, well, there's a family curse. During the modernization of Japan, this particular family was one of those against it. One of it's members was especially infuriated by the idea of taking on western influence, not so much from what could be gain as the adaption of their culture over that of Japan. So infuriated was she that the women cursed her own family after they eventually crumbled under government pressure, so that any who would disgrace the family name would be humiliated in body and mind.

Well since the rules for this curse were so vague female members who disgraced the family in one way or another suddenly found themselves turning blue and bloating up while in the act. Since then, as they break their families values they slowly become more and more like blueberries, shrinking over time as their misdeed or act is forgotten. Violet herself however isn't going to let this curse get in the way of being a independent spirit! Plus she's a bit fashion obsessed and that blue skin is wonderful contrast for her dresses, though she's not exactly a fan of the bloating with juice part.
