Three word & IBSFA monster request themes converge to give you the Gaping Worm! The three words were tentacle, gaping and safe.
The Gaping Worm, or sometimes called the Safe Beast, is a quite harmless, docile subterranean creature that feeds on mushrooms and fungi. The monster is usually used by subterranean communities for weapon training and group tactics although it's hardly a credible threat for even one untrained twerp.
The worm is able to grab and pull people into it's body, however it lacks the ability to do anything else with the captured person unlike more deadly tentacle beasts. And despite what rumours may say, you can not use a Gaping Worm to treat verrucas or athlete's foot.

This harmless friendly creature would still scare me from its appearance as a giant worm regardless... humiliating but I'm a coward when it comes to giant critters that look like different creepy crawlies... not sure why since I love invertebrates so much... insects arachnids worms and more...
