I tend to post my personal pics mostly on Facebook, so I forget to update people on FA on my awesome pets!
So don't get me wrong, love my animals..I take A TON of pictures of them..xD
These two are the newest addition to the family of crazy!
Horatio is my roomies rat which is the dark one.
Tybalt is mine being the lighter one.
I named mine after a character in Gw2, in which I adore to bits.
These boys have been a lot of work, both were not used to people in the least bit..which is the downside to purchasing from a petstore in most cases.
We've had them now for sense about the 6th of Feb.
So now they've grown more used to us, and work with them has been paying off..Horatio has always been the most skittish of the two..he still needs a lot of work but he's getting less and less skittish when we walk by the cage (I put the cage in an area we use a lot so they'd get used to us more and the activity). He still needs a ton of work..he'll take food from us and he gets curious enough when we're near the cage to come up the side and sniff. We use baby food (fruit) in a spoon to get them more near us which works out great. It is our way of showing them we are not to be fearful of.
Tybalt on the other hand has come a long long ways, I am now able to pet him a lot more then before he's still backing up a little at times and unsure but loads more confident as far as being touched and not as scared. He's for sure the most social one of the two, and comes up when we walk by and takes food from us quickly. Ironically he is the submissive one of the two.
Tybalt was the one to first fall in love with their hammock, he sleeps in it very often..and then one day..Horatio decided to join in. We caught this absolutely adorable shot of them, and others similar to it..I love these boys so much.
