Hey guys, the last one for the month sadly. <:C
I decided after much debate between 3 choices and with help from
the shop attendees, I went with the XO.
Let's get to it!
AVO XO:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Pre-Light?Construction:
The stick itself was at first looking very bright and fresh like it just came out of the aging room. The feel however was very firm and yet sort of almost like a peach fuzz feel to it. Strange but yet interesting though. Seems were barely visible, and the viens were very very small in thickness. Still, it was different. The pre-draw after the slice was loose, but not too loose. Something I like. Usually a cigar too loose can get overwhelming.
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puffs were calm and light in pepper notes. Creamy notes came in afterwords. A pleasant start for this stick as it went down to the near ending of the 1st burn until a new note hit at the marker. Sort of a lightly roasted cedary wood taste to it at the ending. Surprise surprise. XD
The Burn Part 2:
The cedary notes at this point have made their presence known. A little more kick was given in the body. Not much, but it was clear that this cigar was something to behold in about everyone's hand. The textures of the creamy notes were a bit neck in neck between both itself and the light pepper. Wonder who will win?
The Burn Final:
Within the near tie between the pepper and cream, the cedar itself has pushed in the back. It has now become a tie between Cream and cedar. At this point the body is now a good standard medium.
Verdict:
Simple, calm, and it's an everyday stick. Something you can enjoy with a friend, a pal, and fellow lover of cigars. Grab yourself one of these. :3
Sadly the next cigar review month will be in May.
Will be taking a month off for cons and con homework.
Will be deciding on what the next brand will be. :3
