where this from? well time for a story

in japan there is a series of shoot em up mech games called the assault suits series genesis got leynos and super nintendo got valken. in the game you pilot a small mecha against the bad guys and collect weapons to help you make the nasty men fall down. both games were released in the west under cybernator (valken) and target earth (leynos), however they were edited for content for a few things. both games did get sequels (leynos 2 for sega saturn which stayed to the roots of the series with added stuff like changing mechs and such and valken 2 for playstation which was a turn based strategy game ala front mission. sadly both never received a state release).

there was two HD releases for both valken and leynos. valen got a ps2 release which is fun ,but didn't add anything new and leynos for ps4 which added some minor tweaks.

although the games never had any new games to the franchise some indie games took heavy inspiration from the two. gunhound ex, steel strider, and gigantic army is to name a few

so mr valken on my table i salute you for the contiuning efforts of showing even the smallest of mecha can kick so much ass. really cool model and can't wait for next month for my leynos one to come in
