Sometime throughout the course of his journey, Zak's battered old cloak sustained immense damage and was no longer wearable. While Zak slept, Max took it upon himself to "repair" it -- without Zak's blessing -- sacrificing the left half of it to patch up all of the holes and tears. This is the resulting garment.
