Very much a spring meal from !

now for folks who know me they know that cook books are one of my three major addictions...

I can almost never pass up good bargains on cook books So at the local auction I attend I try to snap up any cook book box lots

Recently I had pulled some chicken from the freezer and didn't know what to do with it

I found this awesome recipe, In the book they called it Chicken and Sauerkraut casserole but that really didn't fit

Its simple, and delicious, and that coming from a bunny that doesn't like sauerkraut but in this I ate it up

Ingredients

16 ounces (one can) drained sauerkraut
4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
1 tsp garlic powder
3/4 cup your favorite BBQ sauce (I used sweet baby rays but only cause I didn't have the time to make my own)

steps

Heat oven to 350 degrees
Cover bottom of rectangular baking dish with sauerkraut
Arrange chicken breasts on sauerkraut
Sprinkle with garlic powder
Spread sauce over chicken
Bake covered for 1 hour or until chicken is cooked all the way through

Serve with potatoes, or rice or like I did with buttered egg noodles
