And here I am! Or... at least most of what's been worked out about me. XD This is a consolidated concept art sketch image that VampireKitty did late last year. This was a total surprise to me based on a random Skype conversation we had the day prior when she said "That's it, I have to draw you as a dog now" from my tendency to go "Bark!" when I great her. XD I said "At least it needs to have some dragon in it" and this was the result.
I fell in LOVE with this the moment I saw it. Ever since 2000 when I first discovered the furry fandom, I've wanted to have a fursona, but never really could decide on one that felt right or looked right. I identify as a dragon, and I have a dragon form that is... well, very personal. While he may one day be rendered, I didn't feel that the dragon was fitting of a fursona because hes too personal. And in a way, more like a higher-self than me. So the struggle to figure out something that was more "me" was seemingly endless until I saw this. :) OMG... perfect. TC incorporates a lot of important things - he does look a little like me - same here, soul patch, and he also looks both dog and dragon-like with maaaaybe a touch of charr. <3
And let's not overlook how incredible those footpaws are. Good gods. Plantigrade C3 type (almost a C4 hybrid) with pads AND scales for the mid-sole and heels. This was an incredible design, and while this is an initial prototype, not much is really changing - all we have to do is figure out a bit more with the body as for how it looks and is coloured.
TL;DNR: This is me! My new fursona, still being worked out for a few final specifics. :) Designed by the amazing VampireKitty because her brain is an incredible place that creates incredible things.

Holy tits dude I friggin love your design! <3 I've been crazy excited to see a face shot of your dog dragony-ness and I am soooooo not disappointed! I seriously can't stop staring here haha.
As a sort of continuation to the comment on the last piece where you showcased your paws (cause I suck and forgot to respond properly e.e) I've always found it WAY better when the 'sona is more of a mirror copy of the person it belongs to. Maybe some exaggerations here and there since this ain't exactly reality but still XD The fact that it has your rl hair and soul patch (omg soul patch yes!) makes it more real in my opinion.................. And okay yeah I gotta admit how much I would dig on getting my claws on those paws XD

Glad you like him! Err me.... whatever. XD The design still makes me go "Eeeeeeeeeee!" internally every time I see it. :) Love it so much. ^_^
It's pretty cool how much VK was able to capture myself and my favourite things (dragons, dogs and charr) in a singular character. And yeeep... those feets are gonna be attracting a lot of attention, methinks. <_< I'm glad you like them so much!

Absolutely well done! The head alone is genius, totally showing features of both dragon and canine. Plus VK even managed to include your ponytail.
And of course... you sssimply gotta love that paw, with those middle toes sliiightly protruding. Those will be the first ones grabbing a fortunate nose, then pulling it inbetween all four toes... at least as long as they're not flailing wildly while YOU are in someone's toes' grasp! : D

Are the muzzle ridges scales or are the a ladder piercing? Either are badass, just curious. And is it me, or does the soul patch and black hair give him an air of Hans Gruber/Alan Rickman about him? Furred dragon, eh? That's a pretty rare original character. But if he starts sporting rain bow dragon wings, I'm gonna have to start calling you "Dragonmutt" TC.....
*nods* Yes, I can see the Segal now that you mention it. Your new fursona is an interesting character, from the little we've seen of him; and I think we all look forward to future development.

So FayV, Fox-die, Brushfire and even *gasp* Rhos who I met in person at AC16 (a scalie otter? oh gawds, what have i done?) are in the ideation/planning phase for Irreverent art in late Q3 or Q4.

I love this so much. ^^ It's such a neat idea, and I think suits you so well. It really does strike me as similar to a Charr, but where they're kind of a cat-dragon, you just swapped the cat bit for a dog bit. :) It's just such a neat design, and such a cool thing for VK to do for you. I really really love how she incorporated your hairstyle and the soul patch. And of course those paws. <3 Again, such a neat and unique design, combining various different features. Would happily spend a nice long while exploring them in detail. >..>
Heheh! Hard to say, but I'd tend to imagine the tail matching these features as being again sort of a mix of dragon and dog... maybe not quite as long as a dragon tail would be, but reasonably thick around the base and more serpentine than a canine tail... except fluffy all the way down, sorta like a wolf's. Just what leaps to mind anyway!
Thank you! But all credit goes to VampireKitty for the design. My only input was "dog & dragon" and "C3 footpaws". XD VK knows me well enough to know all the elements of things I like, as well as how I really look in real life. So she worked all that out to come up with this amazing design.
And I would happily prop up this big feets for ya! I bet Smawgy would LOVE to see them too!
