Sure, Anubis is majestic, intimidating, and wise -- but he didn't start out that way. We've already seen him in his awkward phase. He's clearly levelled up since then, but seems to have put the points in STR and CON rather than, say, INT. Here we see him trying to remember where he put the scales he uses to weigh men's hearts, and wondering whether he could borrow some kitchen scales. Maybe Mut's. Now, where'd he put the feather?
